Why We Love Them
We love Onsuri for reasons beyond the many awards they’ve won for the outstanding quality and taste of their olive oil. They use traditional European processes in conjunction with the belief that sustainability makes for a better business that falls in harmony with both head and heart. The picture painted of the stunning Jordinian land where the olives are grown and harvested is something out of a movie. Cars are stopped at the farm’s gates, all fallen leaves and branches are composted and returned to the soil, solar panels create most of the farm’s energy, and water is recycled back into the cultivation. They also employ Syrian and Iraqi refugees, as well as Jordan locals, to help tend to the land and harvest.
