Your Companion On the Road to Self-Discovery: The Seeking Center Podcast
Welcome to Seeking Center! Podcast co-hosts Robyn Miller Brecker and Karen Loenser are here to guide you on your spiritual journey, whether you’re just starting out or looking to dive deeper. In this Q&A, they share what inspired them to create the podcast, how they keep it real, and why authenticity is everything.
Q: Robyn and Karen, can you start by telling us what inspired you to create the Seeking Center podcast?
Robyn: Absolutely! The idea for the Seeking Center Podcast (alt: should we take them to our podcast page on the site?) really came from our own personal journeys. Both Karen and I have always been seekers—curious about life’s big questions like, “Why am I here?” and, “What’s my true purpose?” After years of working in media, including two decades with Oprah, I found myself on a spiritual path, exploring different modalities and experience ths. I realized that I wasn’t alone in my quest for deeper meaning and connection, and that’s when the idea of creating a space for others to explore these questions began to take shape.
Karen: For me, it was a very similar experience. I’ve always been fascinated by spiritual and wellness practices. My career in media included a bigger dream to create a destination for mind, body, spirit content. When Robyn and I met while working on a project for Oprah, we quickly discovered our shared passion for exploring everything about spirituality and wellness. Our conversations naturally evolved into the idea of starting a podcast where we could dive deeper into these topics and invite others to join us on the journey.
Q: What makes the Seeking Center podcast different from other spiritual podcasts out there?
Karen: I think one of the things that really sets us apart is the space we’ve created for our listeners. The Seeking Center podcast is more than just a place to find answers—it’s a community where people can come together to explore life’s most profound questions. We’re not here to preach or provide all the answers; we’re here to ask the big questions alongside our listeners and explore different spiritual practices together. We like to call it “the place to Seek Your Center.”
Robyn: Exactly. We’ve created a space that’s not just about listening, but about truly experiencing and exploring your own journey. The Seeking Center is where we bring together not only experts and guides but also those everyday moments of insight that connect deeply with our listeners. What makes us different is that we’re all about the real, the authentic, and the transformational. We’re here to help you uncover what’s already within you, and we do that by making spiritual exploration accessible and relatable for everyone.
Q: Living authentically seems to be a core theme of your podcast. Why is that so important to you?
Karen: Authenticity is truly at the heart of every conversation that we have on our podcast. Our goal is to shine a light on practices and Guides that we trust. This is a space that is growing so fast, and we want to be sure that our listeners know that Seeking Center is a safe place that meets them where they are to safely explore whatever path they choose.
Robyn: We’re very protective of our listeners and community. It’s so important to us that the guides and practitioners we feature are not only highly skilled but also trustworthy. We want to make sure that the people who are guiding you are authentic and share their wisdom with integrity. That’s why we’re so careful about who we bring onto the podcast—they need to be the real deal, because our listeners deserve nothing less.
Q: What advice do you have for someone who’s just starting their seeking journey?
Robyn: As Karen and I continue our seeking journey with the intention to share the extraordinary people and practices that are transforming lives around the world, it never ceases to amaze us how many special souls exist and have been called to help all of us live to our fullest potential. My advice to someone just starting out is to be open to these connections. Trust that you are exactly where you need to be, and that each step you take is leading you closer to your true self. This journey is deeply personal and ongoing, so give yourself grace as you explore and learn.
Karen: I would add that it’s okay not to have all the answers right away. The journey is about exploration and discovery. The Seeking Center Podcast (alt: should we take them to our podcast page on the site?) is a great place to start because it offers real stories, expert guidance, and a focus on living authentically. It’s a space where you can find inspiration and support, no matter where you are in your journey.
